Philip Venables/Ted Huffman My favourite piece is the Goldberg Variations (2021)

My favourite piece is the Goldberg Variations presents snapshots from a life that spans over seven decades, based on interviews with Borregaard's mother, Susanne. Transformed into a troubadour telling his mother's life story, Borregaard makes use of home video clips and his own accordion. The work is a continuation of the British composer Philip Venables’s and director Ted Huffman's exploration of queer histories.

Material from Andreas Borregaard's life is also a source of inspiration for Brazilian Marcela Lucatelli in her composition Drift. Based on conversations between the two, Lucatelli and lyricist Kristine Fogh Vindelev have developed a multimedia work incorporating capoeira workouts and a recording of Borregaard in cockroach costume.
