For 1st to 3rd grade pupils, we have created a special route through our Edvard Munch Infinite display, in which pupils can see world-famous pictures like The Scream, as well as lesser-known Munch works. In an activity-based tour, we’ll examine different themes in Munch’s art. We’ll talk about love, death, change and nature – looking out for feelings we recognise today. The pupils will also have a chance to experiment with drawings in the Up Close exhibition, and take home their own Munch-inspired artwork.
The tour is relevant to all three cross-disciplinary subjects: public health and life skills, democracy and citizenship and sustainable development. Starting with the pupils’ own interests, we will cover topics including the modern world, humans’ relationship with nature, and humanity in general.
