Several great musical moments were created when vocalist Rohey Taalah and Trondheimsolistene performed together in Trondheim in the fall of 2024. Rohey’s all-encompassing voice suits everything from jazz, pop, soul, and beyond, and is tailor-made for the Trondheimsolistene's unmatched virtuosity and ensemble playing. Now it's time to create magic once again, this time at MUNCH during the Oslo Jazz Festival.
Rohey Taalah has previously had great success with the group GURLS, alongside Ellen Andrea Wang and Hanna Paulsberg, and with her band project Rohey. Now her voice shines brightly with several new projects, including a duo with Martin Myhre Olsen, and this collaboration with Trondheimsolistene.
Trondheimsolistene is an internationally recognized chamber orchestra, with multiple awards and major collaborations over the years, including with Anne-Sophie Mutter. They have toured the world and are known for their flexibility, embracing a wide-ranging repertoire that includes everything from classical music to fresh pop music.
Together, they will perform Joni Mitchell's Both Sides, Now and a selection of other songs about how infinitely beautiful and painful love can be. It will be both atmospheric and ecstatic when Rohey and the Trondheimsolistene meet again.
