‘There's a garden within you waiting to be watered,’ sings HILLARI. Norway's massive R&B/soul talent comes to MUNCH to celebrate her upcoming EP New Beginnings with an extraordinary concert experience. The Norwegian-Filipina artist has taken her audience through poignant themes such as identity, faith and hope. Tonight she invites her audience to partake in an evening full with intimacy and magic - sharing her story, songs and heart.
At MUNCH she will revisit older material as well as presenting brand-new music to mark her EP release. HILLARI will open up about her creative journey and the personal experiences that have inspired her music. It's a rare opportunity to get up close to an artist who’s on course for international stardom.
HILLARI had her big breakthrough in 2023 when she was named ‘Årets Urørt’ (a coveted award for new talent) by NRK P3. The songs ‘Loyal’, ‘Hopeful’ and ‘Desperate Soul’ from her debut EP How is Your Soul? have received solid attention both in Norway and abroad. After playing at major festivals, supporting Masego and travelling the world with her music, HILLARI is ready for an intimate concert experience at MUNCH.
HILLARI is a multi-instrumentalist and songwriter with a background from Oslo and the Philippines. Her music combines elements of soul, R&B and pop, and she has been compared to artists such as SZA and H.E.R. Despite a relatively short career, she has piqued the interest of influential music industry professionals abroad and has been covered in leading international music media such as Billboard and Complex.
