The conversation will be held in Norwegian
An up close and personal encounter with Röyksopp in this special artist talk. This evening the duo will give unique insights into their rise to the top of the industry, and how they have redefined electronic music.
From the Tromsø underground to the world's biggest festivals, Röyksopp have been reshaping electronic music for over two decades. Svein Berge and Torbjørn Brundtland became known for their innovative sound with their debut album Melody A.M. in 2001, and have since delivered a series of critically acclaimed releases.
This evening, we hand over the mic to Svein and Torbjørn. You'll hear these childhood friends talk about their journey to becoming one of the most successful Norwegian music exports of all time. They'll play early demos, showcase photos and sound clips - giving the audience a rare insight into their thinking and creative processes, and a glimpse of things to come.
Through collaborations with artists such as Robyn, Susanne Sundfør and Karin Dreijer (The Knife / Fever Ray), Röyksopp have repeatedly pushed the boundaries of electronic music. With over a million copies of their debut album sold, they have left a strong impression on music history.
For the past two years, Röyksopp have been touring with True Electric, a concert experience that’s now released as an album. It captures the essence of their live shows while also emphasising their more club-orientated music. True Electric follows the surprise release of Nebulous Nights, an extension of the universe created in the Profound Mysteries trilogy from 2022, with its 30 songs and as many short films directed by different filmmakers.
