Deathman is the genre-confused, subcultural supergroup you didn't know you longed for. According to themselves Norway’s first and only drag band, composed of members from Intetskjønn, FLTY BRGR GRL, Level & Tyson and the drag legends Gutta, the quartet are equal parts masterful musicians and alluring drag kings. Invoking the tender apathy of Lil Yachty and the aggressive vitality of 80s Metallica, every concert is a cleansing exorcism of blood, sweat, laughter and tears, moshpits, crowd surfing and communal sobbing.
Four kings, rocknrollers, poets and sensitive souls will take you through life and death to awaken and shake you until we all are ready to fight for the right to be more than a gender; a drag, a lover, a hand to hold on to in the midst of the darkness. Lindorff, Armani, Dominic and Roel will walk with you, swim beside you and lift you out of deep buried shit.
CHRISTEENE is a raw spirit of ferocious music, unabashed sexuality, and fiery intimate stank.
Reports from live shows describe raw and intimate exchanges, distressed choreography, macabre scenes involving butt plugs tied to bouquets of balloons being released from the singer’s ass, wardrobes styled from the forgotten scraps of society, and heated sermons on the state of the world as we know it.
The artist has collaborated with as well as performed with numerous acclaimed musicians, including Faith No More, Peaches, Fever Ray, John Grant, Kembra Pfahler, Suicide, Roddy Bottum, Tribe 8, Narcissister, Marc Almond, Bronski Beat, and Justin Vivian Bond. Longtime collaborators include award winning filmmaker PJ Raval, along with iconic fashion designer Rick Owens and artist Michèle Lamy. CHRISTEENE has been photographed by Juergen Teller, Katerina Jebb, Matt Lambert and Wolfgang Tillmans, and featured in magazines such as anOther, Noisey, Dazed, Art Forum, Spin, Vice, Numero, The New Yorker, Interview, Man About Town.
The event is presented in collaboration with Oslo Pride with support from the U.S. Embassy in Oslo.
