Experience a unique new concert format bringing you up close and personal with the artist Beharie, his music and his creative process. Beharie’s soulful, open music has been wowing the critics both in Norway and abroad. Now we’re celebrating the one-year anniversary of his highly praised debut album Are You There, Boy?, a soul-searching, arresting exploration of identity and love. This is important music deeply rooted in the queer experience, and the idea of staying true to yourself.
Following sold-out concerts across Norway – some in much bigger venues than MUNCH’s Festsalen – tonight’s event with Beharie at MUNCH offers a unique chance to hear him in a smaller, more personal setting. The evening will include Beharie sharing the story of the lead-up to the album release, his approach to songwriting and thoughts on making music and creating powerful musical impressions.
Bio: Christian Beharie (b. 1994) is a musician and singer-songwriter from Sandnes, western Norway. His music moves between soul, R&B and pop, and he has been compared to stars like Frank Ocean.
