This new performance commission by Kiyoshi Yamamoto is entitled MAS, QUE NADA (Let's run away) and is inspired by the Edvard Munch paintings Madonna and Dance of Life. Large colourful costumes made from recycled materials, Brazilian music and the quadrilha dance are linked with indigenous myths about the sun and the moon from the Amazon. The performance has been conceived to coincide with Midsummer’s Eve and the start of Oslo Pride. Textiles and colours are central elements in Kiyoshi Yamamoto's artistic practice, and he explores sensory experiences, identity and culture through performance. The artist asks: "What do we define as 'alien' and how can we together counteract the experience of alienation?"

After the performance, the evening turns into a party with DJ xD_Eric and bar.

Eric Oliveira aka xD_Eric, she/they/them, São Paulo born and Berlin based multiartist, co-founder of the Brazilian collective ‘Chernobyl’. The passion for music started with the influence of her family. She’s searching for Latin peripheral music ranging from Brazilian funk, passing through many other aspects as Techno, Hard dance and Latin Core that make LATAM catch fire. Their approach to Black music comes from some of her family members, like her father and uncles, who in the 80’s organized Black Music balls in São Paulo.
