Tonight, we will have the pleasure of experiencing Tord Gustavsen Trio with acclaimed bass player Steinar Raknes and drummer Jarle Vespestad, who has participated on all former albums.
The trio will play several songs from their upcoming album. The material is so fresh that the album haven’t even got a title yet!
Their intense interplay alongside an exquisite sensitivity towards the musical dynamics result in a form of chamber jazz that is both melodic and creative.

Gustavsen’s three albums in trio format, «Changing Places», «The Ground» and «Being There» (2003-2007) and a fourth album from 2018, have been acclaimed by both audiences and critics. His work with Norwegian singers Solveig Slettahjell and Kristin Asbjørnsen is also worth a mention, as well as his several music awards. Gustavsen's continuous search for the pure and beautiful tone in every stanza played, has become a strong trademark.
This concert is part of the Jazz at MUNCH series, presented in collaboration with Oslo Jazz Festival.
