The Oslo-based record label and event organizer Ute returns to MUNCH for a weekend of deep listening music.
In the third edition of Aural Connection, Ute and MUNCH are scaling up their popular concept to a two-day audiovisual gathering with an expanded program and enchanted production, exploring the themes "Mind" (Friday) and "Body" (Saturday).

In a mix of dj sets, live music and live visuals, you can take yourself on a journey through ever evolving soundscapes, brain tickling frequencies and ritualistic rhythms. Lose yourself to a barrage of hallucinatory, immersive visuals coded for the occasion. This will be a weekend celebrating both low and high energy vibrations across genres like ambient, downtempo, and IDM.

Ute is an Oslo-based collective known for merging music, nature, and community. Founded in 2017, they began by organizing intimate forest parties, which quickly earned them a dedicated following. Their sound, deeply rooted in psychedelic trance, also ventures into downtempo and long-form ambient music, presented on their two sub-labels: Sinensis and Translusid. This innovative approach has earned Ute a cult-like status in the electronic music scene.

Lineup

Alvar (live)
Teo Bachs (also known as Alvar, Ekkel, and several other aliases) is a co-founder of Ute and a central figure in the global underground scene. With steady releases on Ute and the Korean label Junction Forest, his music has brought him to renowned venues like Bassiani in Tbilisi, Organik in Taipei, and Ankali in Prague. For this event, Teo has composed a live set referencing early '90s ambient, trip-hop, and experimental electronic music.

Haider (VJ)
Haider has been a key member of Ute since its inception in 2017, wearing many hats: resident DJ, VJ, and graphic designer. Through live-coded visuals, Haider embodies the music with an immersive and hypnotic approach. With a keen eye for visual effects and a deep understanding of rhythm's, he weaves together light, colors, and abstract visual landscapes.

Lara Palmer
Lara Palmer's sound oscillates between dark, hypnotic grooves and pure techno. She plays airy ambient music as elegantly as she delivers intense techno, whether in sweaty basements or deep in the forest. In recent years, she has performed at renowned institutions like Tresor in Berlin, Radion in Amsterdam, and Gare in Porto. Palmer is also a resident DJ for Monument, with several spellbinding performances at the festival.

Marius Bø
Marius Bø is a central figure in the electronic music landscape of the northern hemisphere. As a co-founder of Ute, Marius' musical journey is rooted in the Norwegian forests. From hazy braindance to high-energy vibrations in mist-shrouded forests, balmy shores and dimly-lit basements, Marius navigates diverse settings with his distinctive musical style that takes a gentle yet firm grip on the soul. This includes performances at clubs like Pawnshop, Bassiani, and Macadam, as well as festivals like Monument and Organik.

Mikkel Rev
Mikkel is a hidden and mysterious figure in Oslo's underground scene and a core member of the Ute collective. With deep roots in early psychedelic music and analog hardware, he has crafted a signature sound that seamlessly blends old-school trance with emotional depth and a soft, melodic touch. Mikkel has composed a live set featuring music written specifically for this occasion.

Mørkøye
Mørkøye is an up and coming DJ based in Oslo. Mørkøye has gained attention over the last few years for her captivating sets, creating otherworldly soundscapes, blending all sorts of psychedelic genres, spending from contemporary deep techno to dusty trance from the past three decades. She won the Insomnia Festival's Cloud:Exit award in 2018 and has performed on stages like Kiosk Radio in Brussels, Ved Siden Af in Copenhagen, and Fuchs2 in Prague. With her genre-defying expression and focus on inclusion, she highlights underrepresented artists and explores themes of belonging and human connection.
