MUNCH's mini art critics

How do you talk about art with kids? Do they experience art differently? What to they spot that we miss out on?

In the first episode of MUNCH's mini critics, three artworks from the exhibition Edvard Munch Inifine are examined through the eyes of children: The Murderer (1910), Jealousy (1907?) and Starry Night (1922-24).

When talking to kids about art, it is important to do so on their terms: ask open-ended questions, let the them take the lead - what catches their attention? Perhaps they see completely different things in a work of art, which also enriches the experience for us adults?

In the second episode of MUNCH's Mini Critics, we ask children about their interpretation of Edvard Munch's paintings The Researchers (1911/1925–27?) and The Human Mountain (1927–1929). These enormous artworks are located at the Monumental exhibition on the 6th floor.
