Would you like to learn more about the current exhibition and works from our collection? A guided tour provides a unique insight into the art on display and the exhibition context, of which it is a part. The tours are led by knowledgeable communicators, who make art alive, interesting and topical.

An introduction

Exhibitions at the Munch Museum give you the opportunity to familiarize yourself with one of our most renowned artist in different ways. Sometimes Munch's works are presented in dialogue with works by other artists, and sometimes the exhibitions explore a particular subject connected to his artistic approach. On Sundays, you can attend a quick presentation of the themes and background of the current exhibition before you explore the art and objects on display.

Our experts are available throughout the entire exhibition, ready to answer questions and provide more information.

The presentation lasts about 20 minutes, and takes place every Sunday at 1 o'clock. From September through May the presentation is held in Norwegian. Click here to order your ticket!

Duration: About 20 minutes, after which the museum's expert will be available for questions in the exhibition halls for about 45 minutes.

Would you like to study one of the main artworks in the exhibition up close? One of our guides will show you and talk about a selected work. You will get more information about how it was made, and how it can be viewed in the greater context of art history and our current society.
