2024 at MUNCH offers 7 exciting new exhibitions, which in different ways explore human nature, nature itself and our place in it.
One of 2024s greatest highlights is the homecoming of the internationally critically acclaimed exhibition Trembling Earth, with Munch's fragile, trembling and powerful nature motifs. In addition, Norwegian rapper Arif take us on a enveloping spritual journey, Vanessa Baird adresses the repetitive nature of our lives, and the interactive experience Sofie's Room invites you into a mysterious world of memories and fantasies.

Explore the rich world of Edvard Munch
In addition to 2024's exciting newcomers, you can immerse yourself in Edvard Munch's art and life in our ongoing collection exhibitions. Here you will find both iconic works such as The Scream, The Sun and Madonna and more unknown treasures, such as Munch's burlesque creation myth Alfa and Omega.
Engaging with contemporary art also means finding space for artworks that cannot be displayed in a traditional sense, and also challenges us to create arenas for free artistic expression and exchanges of ideas.
Our MUNCH Live programme presents concerts, performances and conversations with innovative artists and musicians.
Our music programme celebrates and explores sound - from innovative pop to adventurous jazz and experimental hip-hop. Our collaboration with Øyafestivalen continues, and we invite you to a new season of Jazz at MUNCH.
Through MUNCH’s dedication to performance, our audience will experience newly commissioned works exploring the borderlands between visual arts, dance and music. For 2024 we are developing works from the artists Kyoshi Yamamoto and Daniel Mariblanca.
Tickets and programme coming soon!
Last but not least, we have a rich programme for our youngest visitors. We want to put children's and young people's art experiences at the center, and let them explore on their own terms.
2024 brings inspiring and playful art days for families, creative workshops, miniMUNCH festival for kids and families and interactive experiences in our exhibtions. Our extensive offer for schools and kindergartens continues and MUNCH YOUNG offers an engaging programme, developed in collaboration with teenagers.
On 22 March Sofie's Room opens on the 10th floor, where you are invited to an enigmatic world where darkness is a source of mysteries, magic and creative power.
THANK YOU TO OUR SPONSORS AND SUPPORTERS
MUNCH would like to thank all of our very important partners, who through their contributions help us to create a secure financial foundation for our work to manage and disseminate our legacy from Edvard Munch. These valuable partnerships will contribute to strengthening our exhibition and events programmes.
Being a sponsor of MUNCH means entering into an active partnership based on shared interests combined with respect for MUNCH’s artistic and curatorial content. In return, sponsors benefit from opportunities to entertain in the unique setting of MUNCH.
MUNCH is delighted to enter into these valuable partnerships, which we hope are also beneficial to our partners. We look forward to 2022 and the coming years.
