Security Cameras
MUNCH maintains and exhibites world heritage artwork on behalf of Norway and the municipality of Oslo, and CCTV (closed-circuit television) is regarded an appropriate and necessary security measure to ensure the security of the collection. MUNCH has completed a thorough assessment of possible privacy consequences related to the use of CCTV on the museum premises, and have numerous measures in place to ensure any personal information obtained by the CCTV footage is stored and handled according to Norwegian law and the European regulations for GDPR.
