New publication about Baselitz
Read about how Georg Baselitz has been exploring, challenging and redefining contemporary art for over six decades
Our new publication Georg Baselitz: Feet First shows how Georg Baselitz has been exploring, challenging and redefining contemporary art for over six decades. A cornerstone of this work has been the German artist’s complex exchange with historical and contemporary art. The selection of texts and over 80 illustrations especially illuminate his relationship to the art of Edvard Munch. The book includes writings by exhibition curator Jon-Ove Steihaug, Christian Weikop, Sverre Wyller and Baselitz himself, as well as a longer conversation with the artist.
