Satyricon & Munch: Preparing Vampire
Edvard Munch's Vampire (1893) is a very fragile painting. In connection with the exhibition Satyricon & Munch, it's condition is carefully evaluated, and conservator Mie has to fix loose painting on the canvas.

As always before an exhibition, all the arworks are carefully evaluated by the conservators. The painting Vampire from 1893 is the most fragile version of the motif in the musuem's collection, and it needs some work before it is ready to meet the audience.
The exhibition Satyricon & Munch is on display 29 April –28 September 2022.
